I don't know what my obsession is with that line, but I love the way Strong Bad said it.

The day is half gone, but I've been making VERY efficient waste of it. I woke up today feeling a little confused and blank, so I went out for a drive to nowhere (and anybody with a car in Orlando knows that means going to I-4). When I came outta my little daze, I found myself out near the International Resort (JACON Site), so for the hell of it, I decided to walk around the place and see what it's like when normal people own it.

As expected, it's just another quiet little resort for the tourists when the locals don't own it for a weekend. The halls were deserted, the viewing rooms were being used for a family reunion, and the main hall was divided into segments for what appeared to be an evening business affair. It was quiet....lonely....BOOOORRRING!...still, it may just be my loose association with the place, but I could almost feel the ghosts of Jacon still wandering the grounds. Just a little under ten months til' the next one......and I'll be a MUCH better photographer by then (and if things keep going on track, a cosplayer too).

Anyways, from there, it was a stone's throw to the Wyndham Resort (Site of AFO), so I paid a quick visit there to see what I should expect. I gotta say, it's pretty nice. Fancy wallpaper, nice furniture, GOOD AIR CONDITIONING! They really go out of there way to make these cramped up halls look elegant....wait! That's the downside. Until you actually get to the convention center, the halls of the resort are pretty cramped. The centert itself is pretty spacious, and it offers some sizable show rooms which I assume will become the main events and dealers room. Didn't get to see much of those since they were in use by some sort of sorority setup (Y'know, Gamma Sigma Potatoe Something-or-Other), so it was just in, out, back to the open road....except something weird happened on the way out. I come to the front door and I push it out and it begins to fly off to the side. For a second I'm thinking "Tjord....I'm STRONG!" and then I realize it's one of those automatic doors just flying off it's hinges. I heard somebody laughing behind me, so I guess they got the same impression I did. *snicker*

One of the up and coming cosplay sites on the internet (really, where else would it be?) is Cosspace.com, and until I build my first costume, I'm using an account there to be my eyes and ears on goings on in the cosplay world (This AFO is gonna be a good one for pictures!). When I got back in, I stumbled on a rather expansive section on cosplay specifics for things I could seriously benefit from, specifically a section on sewing up boot covers, which would save a pretty chunk of change when working on Vyse! Honestly, four weeks ago, none of this would have made sense to me, but thanks to Mrs. Noel, I actually understand this stuff now.....maybe I'll push things ahead and see if I can't work something out by Janicon.
